As the weather is slowly getting cooler, we’re all looking for a way to get outside of the house. And with fall on the horizon, it also means we’ll be seeing more fresh produce available. If you are looking for a good way to get out, while also purchasing your fruits and vegetables locally, then your best bet is to head over to your favorite farmers market.

1) Grandma’s Farm
Located on a 15-acre agricultural farm in South Phoenix, Grandma’s Farm commits to creating a community around food. Stop in at Grandma’s Farm, where you can get a large variety of fruits and vegetables. From multiple types of squash and citrus fruits to duck eggs and honey, you’re going to be able to find them here.
2) Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market
Held on Saturday mornings, Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market is open year-round. Here you can find seasonally grown, local foods, and products of all kinds. Be sure to check out their website for the map each week to make sure you can visit your favorite booths. And if you have the chance, stop in at the new event, Good Food Fridays, a pop-up lunch event featured.
3) Spaces of Opportunity
Spaces of Opportunity began with an idea to transform 19 acres of land in South Phoenix into a community green space. And with these thriving community farming plots comes farmers markets which are helping build the community. At the farmers markets, you can find a large assortment of locally grown produces as well as made products.
4) Uptown Farmers Market
With nearly 200 local Arizona Producers gathering in the heart of Phoenix, the Uptown Farmers Market is a perfect way to spend a Saturday morning. As a food-based farmers market, they are dedicated to educating home cooks. Be sure to check their website for more information about the vendors as well as when online purchasing will be opened again.
5) Roadrunner Park Farmers Market
Located in NE Phoenix near Paradise Valley, Roadrunner Park Farmers Market is open year-round for Saturday markets. Not only can you get fresh fruits and vegetables, but you can also get baked goods, fresh meats, and so much more. Plan your next trip to head out this weekend where you can help local growers and farmers.
