5 Must-Visit Parks To Visit In Phoenix

There are so many amazing things to do in and around the Phoenix area. Whether you’re looking for the perfect Farmer’s Market to visit or to go on an adventure to one of the amazing water parks. 1) Sonoran Preserve

Located in North Phoenix, Sonoran Preserve is the perfect place to spend the afternoon. With more than 9,600 acres including three trailheads, and 36 miles of trails. This is where you can find stunning views, a bit of peace and quiet, as well as a lovely hike you’ll be sure to enjoy.

2) South Mountain Park and Preserve

Celebrating their hundredth birthday in 2024, South Mountain Park and Preserve is where you want to head on a Saturday. There is something for everyone when you visit the park. With over 16,000 acres of land, it’s one of the largest municipally manages parks in the nation. 3) The Japanese Friendship Gardens of Phoenix

This joint project is with the City of Phoenix and the sister City Himeji, Japan. The Japanese Friendship Gardens of Phoenix is a serene and peaceful place to spend the afternoon, while also bringing two city together in a bond like nonother. The 3.5-acre Japanese Stroll Garden has a tea garden and a tea house for enjoying along with the tranquil and beautiful settings that you won’t want to miss.

4) Papago Park

Papago Park is only minutes from downtown, making it an easy stop for an afternoon at the park. Here you’ll find some of the best hiking options while also having a wide array of recreational facilities. This is also the home to the Phoenix Zoo and the Desert Botanical Garden. Plus, you’ll want to check out the Papago Ponds for some fishing. Or if you’d like to golf, then check out Papago Golf Course.

5) Encanto Park

Encanto Park is a 222-acre lush oasis located in the heart of the city. Not only can you enjoy the afternoon at the park there is so much to do while you’re there. From a fishing lagoon to the privately operated Enchanted Island Amusement Park. There is definitely something for everyone, so be sure to check online for the upcoming events.
